Neurofeedback makes my therapeutic approach even more versatile, effective, and unique. Neurofeedback is a therapeutic intervention that improves different brain waves and therefore personal functioning through a learning process from a highly sophisticated neurofeedback machine that monitors brain waves (EEG) and modifies them through rewards and inhibits (feedback loops). Neurofeedback is used for a multiplicity of presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, insomnia/sleep disturbances, stress, addictions, learning difficulties, headaches/migraines, mood disorders, anger, OCD, and low energy.

People have sought out Dr. Hughes with an array of presenting problems including but not limited to anxiety, perfectionism, grief and loss, addiction, depression, life transitions, divorce, self-esteem, social anxiety, scrupulosity, and sports performance. Dr. Hughes has recently opened up his caseload to take on a few more clients. His case load will fill quickly as he has at times had a few year waitlist.

On a personal note, Dr. Hughes is an enthusiastic marathon and trail runner, a former road bike enthusiast, and a seeker of the outdoors.
